Why Paying For Lead-Referrals Is Important

Recently I was talking to an investor and they asked ‘Why are we creating a platform that monetized referrals?  It’s something that happens organically today.  What are we looking to change?’

My professional network and business relationships are trusted. Every day we make introductions and connections that are outside the scope of an incentivized referral. That is the essence of professional networking. Nothing there should change.

However, companies also build alliance partnerships, channel referrals, co-selling, and other forms of lead transfer designed to get a warm introduction from one business to another; most programs are tied to a referral fee or partnership payment: paying for a referral.

At SalesGig, we are creating a virtual alliance channel of independent and motivated salespeople interested in helping their connections get access to incredible companies they otherwise may not have met through traditional marketing channels. We do not guarantee a purchase; but we do offer an opportunity.

When I ran a small payroll company and later a background screening company, it became clear I had to make two sales: the first to gain access to be ‘considered’ and the second to actually compete to win vs. the competition.

Small to mid-sized companies have incredible products and services, but their lack of budget, exposure, and salesforce create a gap in connecting with ideal prospective customers.

Getting referred in reduces friction, opens doors, and helps companies increase their odds of success.

We are not creating incentivized referrals to monetize trusted networks; we are creating an opportunity for salespeople, empowering them to build their unique alliances and make referrals to help companies: a true win/win.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
